What: The historic Downtown Sarasota Farmers Market is getting a patriotic upgrade for the holiday weekend! Regular Downtown Sarasota Farmers Market

What: Spanning several blocks downtown, this market has been a local mainstay for decades. It is the perfect place to grab locally grown fruits and veggies, native plants, freshly baked goods, and unique crafts while supporting Suncoast small businesses.
Celebrate America's 250th birthday right on the water. From the river to the bay, these historic waterfront spectacles offer the best views and local vibes.
"United on the Manatee River" Fourth of July Celebration
When: Saturday, July 4, 2026 | 5:00 PM – 9:30 PM (Old Main Street activities continue until 11:00 PM)
Where: Rossi Park (444 3rd Ave W) & The Bradenton Riverwalk, Bradenton, FL
What: Billed as the largest Independence Day celebration in Bradenton's history! This massive waterfront festival features live music across two stages, food trucks, an artisan vendor market, and a massive children's play area on the Great Lawn. The night ends with a jaw-dropping fireworks display launched directly over the Manatee River.
Pro-Tip: The first 350 attendees receive a commemorative America 250 T-shirt!
Sarasota Bayfront Fireworks
When: Saturday, July 4, 2026 | Around Dusk (approx. 9:00 PM)
Where: Visible all along Bayfront Park, Marina Jack, and Downtown Sarasota, FL
What: Organized by Suncoast Charities for Children in partnership with Marina Jack, this stunning annual display lights up the skies over Sarasota Bay to celebrate America's 250th Birthday. Grab a blanket and find a spot on the grass at Bayfront Park early!
Sarasota: Fireworks on the Lake at Nathan Benderson Park
When: Friday, July 3, 2026 | 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Where: Nathan Benderson Park, 5851 Nathan Benderson Circle, Sarasota, FL
What: Why wait until the 4th? Kickstart your holiday weekend a day early at this massive park celebration. The evening features a patriotic concert by The Pops Orchestra of Bradenton and Sarasota from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, plenty of food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks show over the lake starting at approximately 9:15 PM.
Admission: General Admission is free; parking is $25–$35.
Red, White & Food Truck Festival
When: Friday, July 3 (4:00 PM – 9:00 PM) & Saturday, July 4 (12:00 PM – 9:00 PM), 2026
Where: The Mall at University Town Center (Parking Lot), Sarasota, FL
What: Bring your appetite! Tailgate in the UTC parking lot with over 40 delicious food trucks. It’s the ultimate foodie gathering and the perfect spot to view the Nathan Benderson Park fireworks on Friday night.
Spirit of 1776 Patriotic Celebration
When: Friday, July 3, 2026 | 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Where: Five Points Park, 1 Central Ave, Downtown Sarasota, FL
What: Celebrate 250 years of American pride with live rock and country music from Southbound 75, local vendors, patriotic face painting, tie-dye shirt making, giant yard games, and a virtual fireworks display.

The Ringling Summer Circus Spectacular
When: July 1 – August 8, 2026 | Showtimes at 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 5:00 PM
Where: The Historic Asolo Theater, 5401 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota, FL
What: A collaboration between The Ringling and The Circus Arts Conservatory of Sarasota, this family favorite highlights world-class circus acts inside a beautiful historic theater.

Laser Light Nights at The Bishop Museum
When: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays all month long (and through Sept 5) | 7:00 PM & 9:00 PM

What: Not your average museum stroll! Get ready for a high-energy concert experience inside the planetarium dome with immersive visuals set to music from Queen, The Beatles, Taylor Swift, Metallica, and more.

Soar in 4 Free Family Night at The Bishop Museum
When: Wednesday, July 8, 2026 | Evening
Where: The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature, 201 10th St W, Bradenton, FL
What: A fantastic, entirely free community event designed for families. Explore the museum’s regular exhibits, planetarium, and the living manatee habitat without the standard admission price.
Bradenton Marauders Baseball & Fireworks
When: Friday, July 3, 2026 | Game starts at 6:30 PM (Gates open at 5:00 PM)
Where: LECOM Park, 1611 9th Street West, Bradenton, FL
What: Enjoy America’s favorite pastime as the Marauders take on the Daytona Tortugas. The first 1,500 fans get a free T-shirt, and everyone gets to enjoy a massive post-game fireworks show.

Kids Summer Beach Runs
When: Tuesdays (Siesta Beach) & Wednesdays (Brohard Beach, Venice) | Registration at 5:30 PM, Race at 6:30 PM
Where: Siesta Key Pavilion / Brohard Beach (next to the Venice Fishing Pier)
What: A wonderful, free 1-mile fun run for kids ages 1–17 to stay active. Participants get a ribbon each week, and completing four runs earns a custom T-shirt. (Note: No runs on June 30 or July 1).
Summer Movie Nights at CoolToday Park
When: Sundays in July | Gates open for 5:00 PM showtimes
Where: CoolToday Park, 18800 W Villages Pkwy, Venice, FL
What: Catch fan-favorite movies on the stadium scoreboard while relaxing in the seating bowl. Parking is free.

Repticon Sarasota 2026

12th Annual Liberty Litter Cleanup
When: Sunday, July 5, 2026 | 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Where: Various locations including Siesta Key, Lido Beach, Nokomis Beach, and Venice Beach.
What: Give back to our beautiful coastline! Join Sarasota County volunteers to clean up the local beaches hit hardest by July 4th celebrations. (Pre-registration on Eventbrite required by June 22).
Venice Christmas in July

Manatee Village Historical Park 50th Anniversary Celebration

Florida State Dance Sport Championships

What: Celebrating its 54th year, this spectacular competition draws top-tier dancers from around the world. Daytime sessions feature Pro/Am divisions, while evenings host the exhilarating Professional Championships. Public seminars with dance legends and gourmet dinners are also available.
